Jefferson Diner just obliterated whatever high bar I used to have before for what a diner should be.
Their lobster bisque had the most generous chunks of lobster I have ever had in a bisque. And it was delicious.
The diner has nice decor and a great staff. The waitresses are always smiling and have a joke to say. Food is very tasty and the orders are delivered quickly. Too bad no free stuff except for water and lollipops. LOL. Just kidding. Really nice place to go for comfort food.
Food is great, especially the pancakes with bacon and chocolate chips. Love the wraps and your cole slaw is so yummy. Portions are great. And the desserts.....so many. I have brought some in to work and they were applauded. Donna and Cindy are so friendly, as are the servers. Love coming here after church
Whenever we want "Diner" food, we always seem to gravitate here, even though it's a 20 minute drive and there are a lot of other diners that are closer to home. Lobster Bisque soup is always great, and there is always something good on the daily special. And save room for dessert. The Baklava Cheesecake is fantastic. One slice is enough for two.
And it's a *mighty* high bar now.
This place was mobbed with people of all ages and they find a way to fit our group of 14. The service was great considering the size of our group and the staff of college age kids was fantastic. The Thai chicken wrap was really tasty, and their thick cut fries were spiced nicely. I also tried the chili, which was slightly salty, but still good. My wife's salad was big and fresh and the kids had a good number of options.
I want to go there.
I had their steak and clams, and both were perfect and complemented each other.
Fries, calamari, all perfect.
